SC FBLA Collegiate State Advisers

Shayla Davidson has been with the FBLA organization since 2010. She has been the state adviser for SC FBLA Collegiate since 2013. Shayla has a passion for education and helping students advance in their careers and personal growth.  Shayla is currently an Enrollment Generalist at one of the largest technical colleges in the state. She has served in other capacities within FBLA, including local chapter adviser, national awards program board member, and National Board member.

 Courtney Shell. I have been a part of FBLA Collegiate since 2013. I am a member of Urban league upstate young professionals' division. Where I can help others in the community that are either less fortunate or just need assistance accomplishing their goals. I am working as Sr. Quality Assurance Coordinator for a local financing company where I have gained so much knowledge on how my company operates daily and in legal matters. I am also the owner and operator of a small business called Gracious Visions where my partner and I offer event planning and decor services for small events. We also offer wedding planning and day of coordinating for ceremonies.  FBLA has been such a huge asset in my life, it helped prepare me for the business world that I am currently operating

in.  I have had the pleasure of meeting and assisting many students from so many backgrounds in their journey throughout FBLA, and I am looking forward to continuing those efforts for this upcoming year.  

 Akeem Brooks is a 2018 graduate of Claflin University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Strayer University in 2022. 

He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc and professional member of Future Business Leaders of America—where he previously served as Membership Outreach Chair at Claflin University. 

He is currently an Assistant Registrar for Academic Records at The Citadel - Military College of South Carolina where he also serves as the an Professor of Leadership & The First Year Experience, Academic Advisor and Alumni Advisor for National Society of Leadership and Success.
